Bush Fires 19/20 Relief Response
No one could have ever prepared any of us for what our Christmas/New year break was going to look like this year. Your tireless support meant that we were able to provide over 27K fire affected people with access to emergency personal hygiene packs that were distributed directly via the CFA, the Navy and National Disaster Relief to name a few. We were able to respond to each regions call for help immediately thanks to the outpouring of support in the way of products donations, hands in the warehouse and money donated. In an 11 year journey- we have never been so overcome by the spirit of our country.
We are now executing our longer term support of communities as they begin to forge ahead and rebuild their lives. Family packs of full size toiletries are being made available into schools and with the help of the VHA (Victorian Healthcare Association) – hospitals, GP’s, welfare nurses and more. We know that in any situation of financial disadvantage that highly priced personal hygiene essentials are the first to go. It’s our commitment to continue to ensure those affected do not go without these products that are essential to physical and mental wellbeing.
As these stories begin to disappear out of the media, its important we don’t forget that it takes 8-10 years to fully rebuild communities and we still need your donations of sanitary products, razors, roll on deodorants, full size shampoo and kids dental products to fill orders for thousands more of these packs. You can also donate money and we will use our buying power to purchase much needed products on your behalf.

From all of you registering to take a box and simply fill it with $2 coins we were able to get some bang for your buck! We have more of these boxes on hand so let us know if you can fill another and help us help those in need.

We did our yearly shout out for whisker warriors ……and warriors we got! A whopping 43, 564 disposable razors donated during our Razor Rally 18 Christmas campaign! Now that’s allot of silky smooth faces! Pinchapoo are very proud advocates of men’s personal hygiene needs also and this incredible effort will help us to meet demand for disadvantaged gents for near on 6 months! Be proud poo crew!
We collect razors and all toiletries year round but If you would like to get involved in the 2019 rally- stay tuned………..wink wink nudge nudge, more details to come!
ROTARY DONATES POO VAN
From little things, big things grow… and don’t we know that!! For many years now, the Rotary Club of Preston have been collaborating with us to deliver our ‘The Personal Care Pack Program’ focused on reaching all the otherwise forgotten regional and rural towns of Australia leaning on the incredible far-and-wide network of both Rotary and Lions.
In the last year of this partnership we have also been actively involved in both drought and flood relief programs that has been made possible with this powerful alliance that has seen over 300K products reach those most in need.
As if our friends at the Rotary Club of Preston weren’t awesome enough, they also went and bought as a BRAND NEW LDV delivery van to enable we can get our packs to those in need safely! WOW! For those of you who see us on the road, be sure to keep honking! One for us and one for Rotary!!
